Where do you call home?  New York! I went to school in New Orleans and am only a year and a half post-grad - so I haven’t had much time yet to settle somewhere new!

Why do you create? It gives me something to look forward to and get excited about. Creating something beautiful or something I’m proud of makes me feel really “accomplished” in the sense that I had an idea in my head that I successfully conveyed in real life!

How do you bring art into your everyday? Hm, well I try to make creating art part of my daily routine, whether that be creating a fully fleshed out illustration, sketching a bunch of random ideas, doodling in the margins, taking pictures of things to inspire future drawings, etc!

What gets you super excited about life? Being outside/under the sun with friends! Makes me feel like there’s so much out there and so much time to do it all.

Do you have a favorite artist? If so, who and why? I have been  really inspired by Sam Larson and Darren Mcgee of Real Fun Wow for years now! They were both incredibly inspiring to me even before I picked up an apple pencil and Ipad, and have continued to inspire me now with both their art.

What’s your favorite place to get inspired?  The mountains of course!

What inspired the design for your Standard Wax labels? The take it slow piece was inspired by my constant need to be reminded to slow down and appreciate the current moment rather than getting so caught up in what’s to come and constantly looking toward the future. Taking it slow is just as good and lets you appreciate all the little moments in between! The wish you were here design is fairly self explanatory and was inspired by my partner and I going back to long distance after a long time spent together, sometimes you  just really miss that one person and wish they were there with you!

What’s something unique about your work that people won’t see anywhere else? Hm, I think one of the things I like most about my work is the fine line between cheesy and inspiring phrases. I love the way my work pairs with uplifting messages and I try really hard to not dip my toes into tacky/super cliché phrases!

Favorite City? In the US, New Orleans, outside of the US, Amsterdam.

Favorite Restaurant? Ok thats a tough one – anything with a creative vegan option! I would have to pick a favorite restaurant per city!

Favorite Museum? Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris – they house some of Monet’s waterlilies and the rooms are stunning!
