It's suddenly November, and the busiest time of year for a candle company has barreled into my life without any warning, as per usual. As Standard Wax celebrates one more year in business, it feels like a great time to thank you all for your never-ending support of this small business.
Today, you have SO MANY CHOICES when it comes to spending that hard-earned disposable cash. Really. So. Many. When I meet people and hear, "Your candles are my absolute favorite! I have one in every room. They make me so happy!" it legit makes me tear up. When you're busy trying to keep a business afloat, its really hard to stop and remember that there are actual human beings out there using the stuff you're making, and that stuff is making their lives just a little bit better.
So, thank you for spending those dollars with us. Thank you for helping me employ the coolest people around. Thank you for helping me live my dream.
... And one of my favorite parts of that dream I'm living is getting to collaborate with some of the most inspiring ladies I've ever known. Leah from Tremaine Ranch has her warehouse in the same building as we do, and we thought it would be fun to throw together a quick Thanksgiving table photo shoot. I love what we were able to do with Leah's rental inventory and a few candles (plus a dreamy arrangement from Hoot & Holler).
If you want to jazz up your Thanksgiving table this year, don't be intimidated. This took us about 20 minutes, and we used a rusty old picnic table that sits outside of our warehouse building! If you take one thing away from this post (other than the fact that I am eternally thankful to anyone that's ever purchased anything from Standard Wax!) make it this:
Tie your napkins in a knot.
