What does handmade *really* mean?

What does *made by hand* really mean?

For us, it means that caring human hands are a part of every step of our production process. From the second you place an order until your goodies arrive at your door, someone is making sure your great-smelling things meet our high standards.

Assemble the wicks: Our cotton wicks are attached to a metal tab and sticker to help us place them perfectly in each vessel.

Prep the vessels: We scan each vessel for any defects, then apply a warning label to the bottom and a wick inside. We line those babies up on trays for easy transporting.

Create the wax blend: This is where our nearly-ten-years of candlemaking experience culminates in that amazingly scented creation you love. We heat the wax, add the perfect amount of fragrance, and then let it cool to the optimal pouring temperature.

Pour! We hand pour every candle with a small pitcher - just like you'd pour a round of margaritas! Then we clip the wick in place to ensure it's beautifully centered for a great burn.

Let them cure: We let the candles sit overnight to make sure everything is nice and solid before moving on.

Trim the wicks: we take a pair of super sharp scissors and trim each wick to the perfect height for your first burn (about 1/4"!).

Clean + Label: Each candle gets a good wipe down and an art-inspired label is applied by hand.

Pack + Ship: Your candle is lovingly wrapped up for transport and handed off to one of our shipping providers to make its way to your doorstep!
